All donated cars are evaluated to determine which method of selling would make the most money for our charity and for the donor, and then either brought to auction or sold for parts.
The Kars4Kids garage is where we showcase the best and wildest of our received donations. Think of it as our way of giving you a little peek into the behind-the-scenes- We know you’ve been curious about who’s been donating what to Kars4Kids!
It’s never easy to part with your car, especially when it’s been with you for years, through the highs and lows, the rough times and the better times- We’re waxing lyrical now, aren’t we?
Well, that’s how most car owners feel about giving up their cars.
But when it’s not doing the job any more and just taking up space in your garage or driveway, donating it to a great cause is what makes sense- especially when you get a tax deduction and vacation voucher in the bargain.
After we receive the cars, they’re brought to auto auctions and sold. So meet us there, and maybe.

The original jingle was composed in 1995 by a group of dedicated Kars4Kids volunteers. In November of 2014, the first Kars4Kids commercial debuted on TV.
Kars4Kids uses the money to fund youth programs and provide small grants for organizations around the country. We assist with tuition, run mentorship programs, and make sure children have the guidance and support they need to succeed.
We don’t run our own auctions; our cars are sold at other auto auctions.
We’re glad you asked! If you donated a car, we’d be glad to feature your car on the Kars4Kids Garage. Just upload pictures of your car and its story, and we’ll post it on the website so everyone can admire your beloved vehicle.
The lead singer for the original Kars4Kids commercial was 10-year old Colin Crest, who years later, still can’t get the jingle out of his head.
